THE WILLOW TRUST

CIRENCESTER, England

To relieve in cases of need persons suffering from disabilities and serious illnesses by the provision and use of broad beamed canal boats as a recuperative, educational and recreational resource for them and by such other means as the Trust from time to time thinks fit.

Each year up to 7,000 disabled and seriously ill children and adults with their carers spend a day on board our two fully wheelchair accessible broad beamed boats, Spirit of Freedom II and Leonard Matchan, on the beautiful Gloucester-Sharpness Canal. The Willow Trust is able to offer a day of fun and freedom to so many people who may never have dreamt it possible. The therapeutic nature of water and its wildlife is inspiring and joyful. Each day out is completely free of charge - nobody pays. The Trust is completely self-funding and reliant on its own fundraising events and the contributions of all our supporters. We are totally dependent on donations to say afloat.
